Service

Through our service component members have the opportunity to participate in mission trips as well as help out with Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) and Habitat for Humanity.

March 2006 Chattanooga Food Bank Service: Unloaded, sorted and stacked pallets of dry goods to help the needy. Also, our winter hike at Cloudland Canyon served an extra purpose as we picked up litter along the trails to the Falls. 5 bags collected to make future hikers enjoyment of God's creation more pleasant.

March 2005 we hosted a parking fundraiser and made $600 to donate to the Tsunami Relief Fund.

2005's nursing home visit at Christmas along with PCS resulted in the assembly of 50 gift bags from CCS sugar-free candies, soaps, body and hand lotions, crosswords and word finders, inspirational books, puzzles, games and a small stuffed toy to cap off the bag. Much thanks to all who helped assemble and contributed the contents.

As part of our groups' activities, we are helping each other out as well.

Diann's bathroom needed a new counter top and extra storage space plus faucets had worn out as well.

Bev's New Home needed a special touch. And, courtesy of her CCS friends we were able to add a little something extra to that back deck. We're not Extreme Home Makeover, but it did help personalize things. Special thanks to Diann, Brian and Darien for helping. Bev's daughter Tiffany even learned how to use a nailgun... safely!

Before starting.

Uprights and floor frame in place.

Brian hoisting a rafter.

We can use these scraps for something.

Rafters up!
